“It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, wait, it’s a Lifeflight helicopter on its way to save yet another life in our great city. A small group of Garden Club Ladies were treated to a behind-the-scenes private tour of Memorial Hermann’s World Famous Lifeflight facilities. We watched a chopper land, slide the stretcher out the back and transport a critically injured man straight to the operating room where teams of surgeons were waiting. But the WOW moment was watching the helicopter take off to return to its assigned post. It was hair-raising to say the least. We came away with a renewed sense of awe and wonder, as well as a great sense of pride in our first responders.”  See more pics in the Gallery section
