Fun Fall Outing to Galveston

Members enjoyed a full day of history and fun on the October trip to Galveston. Thanks to Outing Chairs Terri Estes and Kathy Plaeger for planning this fun event.

Members explored The Bryan Museum which offers one of the world’s largest collections of Texan and American West artifacts. Lunch was held at the newly renovated Galvez Hotel, with glistening red chandeliers and intricate tile floors. Last they visited the 1875 Julius and Elizabeth Ruhl House, located in the East End Historic District, which features a unique widow’s walk, four Baccarat chandeliers and the original 1875 cast iron fence.
