Garden Club members are enjoyed a fun trip to Ft. Worth.  We lunched at The Bird-which is the oldest building in the city,  took a walking tour of historic downtown and had a fabulous dinner at Reata.  We enjoyed the Fort Worth Museums, Botanical Gardens, Historical Cattle Barons’ Homes and the Stockyards.  No trip to Ft. Worth would be complete without a stop at Joe T. Garcias for Margaritas and Tacos!  The last day of the trip we drove to Dallas and toured the Bush Museum on the SMU campus.  A few Garden Club members lunched in the cafe before heading home-guess who was having lunch that day-Laura Bush-so yes we lunched with Laura.   Garden Club trips are more than visiting cities, they are where Garden Club members can get to know one another away from Tanglewood.  Relationships forged on these trips are ones that will last a lifetime.IMG_0565
